ON THE WOOL ARTS TOUR

The 21st Annual Wool Arts Tour

October 9-10, 2004
9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

The Wool Room at Meadowbrook Farm, Antrim, NH

From the South, enter Antrim on Routes 31 and 202. Pleasant Street is the second street on the left well marked with signs. From the North, come into the town of Antrim on Route 31 or 202. Pleasant Street is on your right after the brick Mill Buildings. The Wool Room is 1.5 miles on Pleasant Street on your left.

Chauncey Farm, Antrim, NH

Return to Main Street, Route 202, and turn left. Bear right after the center, remaining on Route 202. Continue approximately 5 miles to Old Concord Road on the right, marked with a highway sign for Chauncey Farm.

Mirage Alpacas, Washington, NH

Continue East on Route 202. At the McDonald’s intersection, continue onto the new bypass going West (toward Keene). At Route 31 (1.5m) turn right. At 4 tenths of a mile from the junction you will see two Wool Arts Tour Sheep markers. For Mirage Alpacas, continue north on Route 31 to the center of Washington. At the fork of Lempster Mountain Road and Route 31, go left on Lempster Mountain Road. Mirage Alpacas is the farm on the right marked with the Wool Arts Tour Sheep. For Western View Farm, turn right on Shedd Road and follow sheep signs.

Western View Farm, Hillsboro, NH

Return to Route 31 South. Travel to Shedd Road (two Wool Arts Tour Sheep signs) and make the left turn. At the next intersection, turn left onto Beard Road, traveling approximately 1 mile to the next intersection, then right onto Gleason Falls Road. Western View Farm is the first white house at the top of the hill.

The Fiber Studio, Henniker, NH

Continue on Gleason Falls Road to the end and turn right. Drive through Hillsboro Center and continue to the traffic light and turn left on Routes 202/9. Drive about eight miles passing the exit for Route 114 and take your next left, as marked by the Fiber Studio’s State Highway sign, at Foster Hill Road. The Fiber Studio is up the hill on your left. The Fiber Studio will stay open until 6:00 PM for those who are delayed on the tour.
